Origin Story: Big Red came about when three gnomes appeared on a rock that could be seen when driving up our dirt road. Every time I passed the gnomes I had the urge to add one. Finally, I picked u a gnome at a local box store and brought it to the rock.

After adding the first/fourth gnome, they began to multiple and spread. Soon, different types of gnomes could be seen tucked into little nooks all the way down the street. Mountain Rock became the focal point of gnomes for all the playful residents of the mountain.

Big Red was one of three standard gnome styles that were available through the box store. Eventually, I went back to pick up Pippi Sunflower Gnomestocking.

First Impressions: Heavy like a paperweight. Holding up disarmament/peace sign fingers. Perfect for holding the Gratitude Light Catcher (GLC) found at the site of his placement.

Chronicling Changes: Big Red has remained steadfast through the various storms of the season. While other gnomes have fallen and been buried under the snow, Big Red has remained solid with the GLC, like a lighthouse in a sea of trees.
